Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been the subject of much talk, but only some are positive. The fingerprint scanner needs to be in a more comfortable location. The North American model lacks fluidity and slickness. Users are reporting that the Galaxy S8’s screen is prematurely burning in.
How To Fix Screen Burn on Galaxy s8?
A Samsung algorithm intended to keep the Galaxy S8’s on-screen navigation bar from burning has not worked. A few users noticed a burn-in in only a week, but now there are several hundred reports. Galaxy S8 and S8+ have AMOLED screens, so the burn-in can be reversed and prevented from repeating. Take a look below to see how.
1- Fix Burn-in on AMOLED Displays
First, you will need to undo the burn-in on your smartphone. Install an app that inverts your screen, which unsticks pixels from their current color. All AMOLED screens can be fixed with an AMOLED Burn-in Fixer.
2- Navigation & Status Bars Hidden
Make sure you don’t burn in pixels again after solving the problem. Immersive Mode can always be enabled. To prevent your navigation and status bars from etching into your screen. These features are still accessible by swiping in from the edge.
ADB must be installed on the computer for the process to work. The navigation bar as well as the status bar should be hidden. To find out the complete ADB commands that will enable you to hide those bars, check out the link below for the complete guide.
3- Disable Always On Display
The final step reinforces the anti-burn-in actions taken in Step 2. The S8 and S8+ home buttons shift slightly to prevent burn-in, but what about Always On Display? AOD always shows the home button (in the same spot).
Firstly, head to Settings and tap “Lock screen and Security.” Next, tap “Always On Display.” Please navigate to the menu and switch it on. Both ways, AOD will be turned off.
Once everything you could be causing the navigation and status bar burn-in has been hidden or removed, let’s see if it worked. The initial burn-in reports suggest it’s a reasonable timeframe to start using your phone without bars.
