How To Fix Vivo Not Charging Problem?

1- Play Store: Get Ampere

Users can check the power consumption of their Phone using the Ampere app on the Google Play Store. By doing this, you can check how much power your Phone consumes. It will help you decide what the next step is if it is slow or not charging. You can find details such as battery status, health, temperature, etc.

The blue reading means your Phone is charging well. Find the desired current range just below the actual reading. A phone not charging or charging slowly will have a lower reading. It’s orange if your Phone is disconnected and using its power.

2- Change The Power Source

Battery, Phone, or charger may be fine. Charging from a power source might be the problem. Your computer or laptop might have problems charging due to a wall unit or socket. Try a different socket and change the outlet to charge the Phone. If it worked, you would save hundreds otherwise spent on fixing the problem.

3- Shut Down Your Phone

Many people need to follow the protocol regarding charging phones. If you are charging the Phone and playing an intense game or surfing the web. You might use more power than you gain, which translates to ‘not charging.’ Please turn off your Phone next time or lock it until it charges. Make sure you’re in flight or airplane mode.

4- Clean charging port

Phones have USB-C ports for charging and connecting to computers. There is a metal tab protruding outside where the USB cable lands.

  • The USB cable cannot connect to the USB port properly due to dust, debris, and lint escaping into the USB port.
  • Make sure the port is debris-free and clog-free by using a flashlight.
  • Switch off the Phone before blowing air into the port.
  • Clean the port by scratching the walls with a toothpick or needle.
  • Trace the walls and the metal tab.
  • To counter distortion, gently press the metal tab if it is out of shape or distorted.
  • More pressure will permanently deform it.
  • Please turn on the phone and charge it once all debris and dust particles have been removed.

5- Check The USB Cable

When the original cable goes haywire or frays, you’ll know it’s not an original. There is no warranty for these cables since they are cheap and will only last for a while. For charging or data exchange, the cable connects the phone to the adapter.

6- Rollback To A Previous Android Version or Upgrade

You must upgrade the OS to take advantage of new features and services. Your Phone will also run faster because recent updates have patches to fix previously discovered or reported bugs.

  1. Go to Settings > About Phone> Software Updates.
  2. Download the available updates.
  3. Try the new update once it has been downloaded and installed.
  4. You just updated your Phone and tried to charge it with a USB cable, but it wouldn’t. It is a problem caused by your recent upgrade.

7- Replace Your Battery

Hardware and software combine to create smartphones. Charging is a simple example of a process that involves many parts. A damaged adapter, cable, USB port, or battery stop charging if any of them is damaged.

Plan B – Take it To The Mobile Shop

There is a Plan B in place just in case this explicit guide fails to fix the Vivo phone not charging problem. Walk into the nearest service center, raise a ticket, and speak to a technician to resolve it. Waiting 2-3 business days is worthwhile if the problem has been resolved.

In addition, if the Phone was just purchased, you might still be entitled to a free replacement if it is still within its free look period, which lasts between 7 and 15 days. It’s best to visit the service center if your Phone is under warranty since it’s cheaper and won’t void the warranty.
